Sleep Medicine Research Foundation

The Sleep Medicine Research Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, was founded in 1992 to support clinicians and research scientists in sleep disorders medicine, with high quality, cost effective educational, publication and research programs. An advisory board of distinguished clinicians and research scientists from the U.S., France, Canada, and England guides the foundation in achieving its mission. Our programs include:

Education

Annual International Keynote Symposium to support Continuing Medical Education
Grand Rounds in hospitals featuring distinguished sleep specialists
Currently developing a major interactive multi-media program for teaching high school students and general audiences sleep health competency and decision making skills

Publications

Snews Alert - an outreach publication that clinicians can use to educate their network of referring physicians and patients about sleep disorders
Editorial, graphics and layout services to assist clinicians in presenting and publishing their findings
Symposia and Grand Rounds, video tapes and printed publications

Research

Identifying major clinical research needs and funding opportunities
Forming groups of clinics to conduct the identified research
Assist with the logistical and administrative burdens that so frequently discourage clinicians from seeking sponsorship of needed research

Please join with us in our quest to put sleep disorders on the "List of Endangered Species" by telling us how you can help the Foundation and how the Foundation can help you!
